Leadership, Strategy & UX Operations
Leadership, Strategy & UX Operations
Intro
In addition to hands-on product design, I regularly operate at the intersection of UX strategy, team operations, and cross-functional alignment—especially in ambiguous, high-scale environments.
This work ensures that design decisions are not only well executed, but also aligned, scalable, and impactful across teams and time.
UX Strategy & Vision
I’ve led UX strategy and vision-setting across multiple product teams, focusing on clarity, prioritization, and long-term scalability.
• Created the UX 2025 roadmap, aligning UX priorities across four product teams
• Defined UX success criteria and scope boundaries to ensure design investment aligned with business goals
• Used low-fidelity flows and prototypes to help teams distinguish MVP from future vision, reducing ambiguity early
• Helped shape product direction by grounding strategy in real user workflows and decision-making needs
Cross-Functional Influence & Alignment
I partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and senior leadership to drive alignment and decision-making.
• Presented work to senior stakeholders (L8–L10), influencing funding, roadmap, and expansion decisions
• Facilitated alignment across North America and Europe by using shared prototypes as decision artifacts
• Advocated for UX tradeoffs that balanced speed, governance, and long-term scalability
• Helped teams resolve ambiguity by visualizing system behavior rather than debating abstract requirements
UX Operations & Process
I’ve established and improved UX processes to help teams move faster with clarity and consistency.
• Authored documentation integrating UX into the LeSS Scrum model, resulting in earlier UX involvement and fewer late-stage changes
• Led the transition from Asana to Jira for UX planning, introducing standardized templates for objectives, workback plans, and success metrics
• Championed design system adoption, reducing custom CSS usage and improving maintainability and consistency
• Established design review checkpoints that raised quality while reducing iteration churn
Why This Matters
Strong UX systems don’t scale through individual effort alone—they scale through clarity, alignment, and trust.
This work allows teams to:
• Reduce rework and decision friction
• Make confident product decisions earlier
• Scale design quality across multiple teams and initiatives
• Ensure UX impact extends beyond individual features
I’m most effective in environments where product complexity, organizational scale, and long-term decision-making intersect.
